Towards the end of 2021, we got the chance to play dress ups for two days, kitted out in full turnout gear to film the opening of the brand new VEMTC training facility for the fine folk at the CFA.
It was inspiring to see the dedicated volunteers in action and the impressive set-up that the CFA have built there.
We even managed to score a fire truck ride through their offroad driver training area.
Childhood dreams fulfilled!
The resulting video (below) won a Silver Telly at the 2022 Telly Awards in the category of Online – Educational Institution.
Based out of New York, the Telly Awards receives over 12,000 entries from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world, so it’s a huge honor for our work to be recognised.
In addition to the video above (and several shorter-from cutback edits) we also developed the footage into an Interactive Video tour, allowing viewers to virtually explore the site at their own pace.
We began with a top down drone survey of the large facility to act as the map and interface for the experience. We then built animated elements around drone footage and edited repurposed videos for each section of the tour.
