IN AN EXERCISE OF SPOOKALICIOUS NATIVE ADVERTISING, KOALA RAN AN ONLINE HORROR FEST APTLY NAMED KOALAWEEN.
For this we created a terrifying tale of white-goods run amuck in our four minute fright fest ‘Toast’.
This short film was shot and produced during Melbourne’s stage four lockdown, which meant that writer and director Oscar had to run lights, camera and sound with only the help of his partner Grace. Oh, did we mention she was also starring in the picture? Luckily the cast/crew of two had the full force of Guerilla (remotely) watching their backs. Organising props, equipment, sound design and some funky visual effects.
The short made waves when it premiered, flooding the message board with comments about the universal distrust of toasters and a need for a gluten free uprising! All the while the subtle branding within the film made this a clear winner for the sleep enthusiasts over at Koala.
