We love tech here at Guerilla Creative, so when we heard Alex was planning on proposing to his partner Kelly in VR, we knew we had to get involved and film it!

We wanted the freedom to be able to walk around the environment and simultaneously film both the real and virtual worlds, allowing us to transition between the two or use post-production visual effects wizardry to seamlessly blend them both together.

We worked with Zero Latency to achieve this and mounted a tracking system to the top of our camera, which captured positional data and meant we were able to get an in-game render that perfectly matched what the camera was seeing.

The resulting feel-good proposal video quickly went viral, with the view count continuing to skyrocket into the millions and to this day, it’s still being shared around the world!
